Students have the opportunity to earn industry certifications
thru NC3 in Precision Measuring Instruments,
Torque Fundamentals, and Multimeters
Course content prepares students for the Automotive Service Excellence test and with the marketable skills and knowledge to succeed in today's demanding job market.
Maintenance & Light Repair 1
Students explore career opportunities and requirements of a professional service technician. Content emphasizes beginning transportation service skills and workplace success skills. Students study safety, tools, equipment, shop operations, basic engine fundamentals, and basic technician skills.
Maintenance and Light Repair II
Students study automotive general electrical systems, starting and charging systems, batteries, lighting, and electrical accessories.
Maintenance and Light Repair III
Students study and service suspension and steering systems and brake systems.
Maintenance and Light Repair IV
Students study and service automotive HVAC systems, engine performance systems, automatic and manual transmission/transaxle systems, and practice workplace soft skills.
Upon completing all of the Maintenance and Light Repair courses, students may enter automotive service industry as an entry level technician.
