Sequoyah High School

Hello My Name Is...

Candice Clark

Candice Clark-Smith

My experience as a teacher started right here at Sequoyah sitting in this very classroom, 15 years ago. I didn't know I was going to be a teacher at the time, but I had passion for welding. I spent the next 12 years, after graduating, working as a union pipe-fitter/welder before grand design led me back to the very classroom. This school was my saving grace and I can only hope it can be that for every student who walks through our doors. I Teach Principles of Manufacturing, Welding I, TCAT I, TCAT II. I moved here from Cedar Lake, Indiana when I was just knee high to a grasshopper and have lived here in the Soddy Daisy area ever since. I graduated from Sequoyah High School. My favorite thing to do is to go hiking with my four children.I enjoy teaching because I enjoy welding and sharing my passion with the next generation. I love watching my students grow and strive to be the best. "Skilled trades are hard work, yes, but they have built a beautiful future." -Clark
